Winery Casal Fuentes, situated in the upper part of O Grove, which gives it some beautiful views sobre the Ría de Arousa, pretends to be a Wine Tourism Center, composed of a plantation of vines of the Albariño variety in its 80% Loureira in its 15% and Treixadura in its 5%.
Has a surface of plantation close to eight thousand meters; a artisan winery where only the harvest of the aforementioned farm is made and a tapas where you can taste your wine and accompany it with some typical dishes of the area and a wide variety of delicious local mussel specialties.
La winery, new construction, cares with care for the details of both the building and the surrounding land, where the vineyards are located. It is a place very agradable, attended by the Casal Fuentes family, all of them excited and committed to their project, which they have literally carried out with their own hands.
The planting took place in the spring of 2003, after preparing the land, and the first harvest and processing took place in the fall of 2008, the year in which the opening of the Tapería and the activity of the Tasting Room took place. . Since then the harvest is made by hand and only this.
GUIDED TOURS
From the beginning, guided tours are carried out, for the tourist or visitor, being integrated into the “Rías Baixas Wine Route”, and obviously the manufacturing activity, protected under the DO Rías Baixas. Taking advantage of the privileged natural environment, we have installed some terraces under vine facing the summer period as an extension of the Tapería, which makes it an attractive place for a relaxing lunch or dinner.
