The Amegrove Mussels Cooperative has held a mussel dish contest for decades that has become one of the most important in Galicia. In this competition they face professional and amateur chefs proposing mussel recipes that go from the most traditional to the most risky innovations. The event is open to the public and it concentrates many people who discover the infinite possibilities that mussels have, some of which can also be tasted at the Festa do Marisco. The act takes place in the institutional tent and is attractive to visitors due to the variety and attractiveness of the preparations.
