A Bodeira lagoon

The Bodeira lagoon is hidden and isolated from the sea after a big dune in Punta Moreiras.
This coastal lagoon is the only one in the Rías Baixas and is located in front of the aquarium of O Grove walking the coast to Mexiloeira beach.
It is the reeds that delimit the lagoon to give shelter to multiple migratory birds who choose this place to winter or as a rest on their long migratory journeys.
Here we can see species such as the gray heron, curlews, mallards… and many more.
It has been declared Wetland of International Importance, Belongs to Interm Complexareal Umia-O Grove and is included in the agreement RANSAR.
