A Lanzada, To Mexilloeira or Area da Cruz are some of the main dune areas of the peninsula of O Grove. These moving dunes are found in a continuous state of regeneration and constitute an important ecosystem itself. In fact, it is worth noting the importance of these sandbanks for the breeding of the Kentish Plover, a species declared vulnerable in the Galician Catalog of Threatened Species.
