The route starts from the vicinity of the recreational area of ​​the beach of Major and runs along the right bank of the so-called Rego do Souto to the vicinity of the paved road that connects the places of Soutullo and Pontes.

During the tour, the Rural landscape of the parish, in which the contrast between the farmland that surrounds the traditional population centers and the gallery forest that characterizes the banks of the rivers is revealed. In the layout of the route there are also several samples of our culture and popular architecture, with the existence of several recently restored river mills (the Molino de Peritos stands out, listed as a heritage asset), wells for irrigation sobre the river channel itself and the Soutullo laundry.

The route ends at the spring where the stream is born which names the route.
