From its entrance there are some magnificent views of the Ria de Pontevedra. It is built sobre Romanesque remains of a previous temple, of which the cover is preserved, although not in its original state, since it has been later remodeled. On this cover stand out the archivolts with pointed arches and the carvings on the eardrum, a scene of the crucifixion of Christ, dating from the 18th century.

Three sections make up the only nave of the church, two of them with ribbed vaults and the other with a barrel vault. In addition, the church has a chapel and the sacristy, also covered with a barrel vault.

On the left side of the main façade of the church is located the beautiful bell tower, probably baroque, con dos bells, topped with a small dome and ornamented with pinnacles.
